March 2025 Latin America Champions Summit Recap

I just returned from an incredible time in Cuba, where we gathered with our Latin America Step Up to Life Champions for the Spring 2025 Summit. It was a week filled with training, testimonies, and a deep sense of mission as we equipped passionate leaders to share the Gospel more effectively in their nations.

There were eight of us in total—leaders representing the U.S., Cuba, Guatemala, Columbia, Bolivia, Brazil, Nicaragua, and El Salvador. Each one came with a heart for evangelism and a desire to help others understand what it truly means to follow Christ. Throughout our time together, each leader took turns teaching the Step Up to Life seminar, refining their ability to present it with confidence and clarity.

One of the most powerful moments came during a conversation with Eduardo in Cuba, who has been using Step Up to Life for years. He shared how his church has seen a dramatic shift in the depth of commitment among new believers. “Before, people would come forward, say a prayer, and disappear,” he said. “Now, we see them growing, staying, and leading others to Jesus.” His words reminded us why this work is so important—helping people move beyond an emotional moment to a lasting relationship with Christ.

Of course, we had some lighter moments, too. There was plenty of laughter—especially when a translation mix-up led to our training certificates accidentally addressing the men as “Directoras” instead of “Directors!” But beyond the humor, there was a deep sense of unity and purpose.

Each of these leaders is now returning to their country equipped and energized to share the Gospel using Step Up to Life methods in churches, training events, and personal conversations. I believe the impact of this trip will be eternal–praise God.

Thank you for your prayers and support. Your generosity makes it possible for these champions to receive training and take the Gospel deeper into their nations. Please continue to pray for them as they walk forward in faith, leading others to Jesus.
