Lincoln is the author of Launching the Great Go-Mission and accompanying resource manual by the same title.  The book was designed to assist local churches in recruiting, training, and sending, their own members on short term mission teams with a strong discipleship focus during the whole process.  He also authored See You At The Finish, outlining eight principles of spiritual endurance.

Lincoln has been married to his college sweetheart, Jennifer, for 42 years.  Lincoln and Jennifer have two adult children, Kyle & Kristi, who make their homes in Omaha.  A rescue border collie and rescue flat coated retriever complete their hectic home.

Lincoln running

Lincoln is an accomplished endurance athlete and has competed for 40+ years in marathons and triathlons.  He has finished three 140 mile Ironman triathlons including the World Championship in Kona, Hawaii.  In 2013 he finished 6th in the world in his age group at the Triathlon Championships in London, racing for Team USA.  He has won Three National Championships.  He’s a 14 time USA Triathlon All American.  Lincoln often speaks on the subject of spiritual endurance based on the lessons he’s learned from these events.

He is passionate about Jesus being lifted up in the local church and throughout the nations, particularly in the areas of the world’s least reached or totally unreached people groups.  He helped found the P.A.N. network in 1995 which is a network of churches, missions organizations and individuals who have targeted one particular unreached people group in Central Asia.

Lincoln’s life is dedicated to seeing the local church envisioned and mobilized that it might rise up to full maturity and embrace its God given mandate to fulfill the Great Commission.

Jeff’s Personal Story

At the age of 18, Jeff was truly transformed by the Gospel in an amazing way. After a night of partying and heavy drinking with his friends, Jeff saw a Bible sitting on a desk. Drunk and laying on the floor, Jeff heard the voice of God, and immediately was sober. Jeff got up immediately and went home and told his dad everything he had been doing that year.

That fall, Jeff found a church that was alive and full of others who had been through similar changes. He was then called into youth ministry through an amazing series of Spirit-led events.

Jeff was mentored by some incredible youth ministers including his Roseville Assembly of God youth pastor – Mark Taylor, then a dynamic fellow youth ministry student named Chuck Kish, and then in his first paid youth ministry position working for the amazing Chuck and Joy Apple at Willmar Assembly of God in Willmar, Minnesota.

Jeff’s 1st Introduction to SUTL

While in Bible college one day, a fellow NCBC student named Mike Darr handed Jeff a booklet called “Step Up To Life” by E. H. Murdoch.

This booklet was one of the best explanations of the message of Jesus that Jeff had ever read – especially the use of a simple 5 Step illustration to show that we do indeed have to make decisions to follow Jesus.

In 1990, Jeff got a call from the new youth pastor from a large megachurch in Omaha, Nebraska – Trinity Church Interdenominational – Ty Schenzel called Jeff through his connection to Mike and Julie (Schenzel) Darr.

Jeff and Ty hit it off immediately.

It was obvious to all that Jeff was destined to be mentored by two amazing men of God (Pastor Ty Schenzel and Pastor Elmer Murdoch). Jeff became one of Pastor Elmer’s staff pastors, and Ty Schenzel’s Assistant November 1, 1990.
